What does a typical CrossFit class look like? 💭

One of the key tenets of our sport is that it is CONSTANTLY VARIED because we want our bodies and minds 🧠 to be prepared for anything ⚡️

However there are some key components of every CrossFit class at Unity:

1) WHITEBOARD BRIEF 📈- your coach will explain the daily programme to include timings, stimulus & modifications 🤓

2) DEMO’s – your coach will demo how to perform each movement safely & effectively & will offer alternatives for injuries or restrictions 🤝

3) WARM UP – devised to get your central nervous system firing, raise your body temp, engage your brain & prepare your body to move 🔥

4) STRENGTH / SKILL & / or WOD 🏋️- depending on the day you might spend time developing a specific skill or working on strength 💪 This will then often be followed by a workout, which may vary in stimulus, time, equipment, movements – you name it!

5) FUN 🤩 – all of our classes are designed to be enjoyed, because if you enjoy something you’re far more inclined to repeatedly do it! Not only are our coaches knowledgeable but they bring the banter, good tunes and hype 🕺

6) POST-SESSION FIST-BUMPS 🤜🤛 you’ll acknowledge fellow members’ efforts because there’s nothing like getting through a tough session with your mates by your side & recognising each other’s hard work 🙌
