EMOM which stands for “every minute on the minute” is a great tool for completing a prescribed number of repetitions of a given movement within 60s.
So why do we use EMOMs in CrossFit? 🤷♀️
✅ They are great for controlling volume and so are particularly well suited when we want to learn or improve a skill, to accumulate good quality reps without the fatigue of a workout
✅ They can be used as a workout format as they are highly efficient, minimising wasted time in between movements.
✅ They can be used to control fatigue due to the built in rest period, which also allows for the desired intensity to be hit.
