📈 EFFORT OVER OUTCOME
🧠 An important aspect of training which is often overlooked is mindset – both how we approach our training itself and how we respond to the product of our training.
✅ It’s a great to set goals but we think it’s less beneficial to focus on whether we achieve the desired outcome than whether we can say we are truly proud of our efforts!
Training outcomes are SO dependent on a number of factors which sometimes despite best efforts we can’t control 🙅🏻♀️
You may have the perfect prep for a competition, your diet may be on point, your sleep dialled in and your recovery optimised then the day before the competition there’s an emergency at work, you barely eat all day and you don’t sleep 🤯
Performance isn’t measured by the day we compete, or we test a new 1RM or the date by which we hope to achieve a goal, rather it’s in all the preparation leading up to that point and the person we become along the way 🤓
So we say be the type of person who puts the effort in and celebrates that rather than the person who gets deflated when the outcome isn’t what they hoped for ✨ Effort > outcome always 🙌
