MEET THE MEMBER: SUE ๐ŸŒŸ

In our April meet the member we say hello to who just so happens to be our highest performing athlete in the Open this year, placing a highly respectable 7th in the UK in the 70+ female category and advancing into the next stage of competition – the Quarterfinals ๐Ÿ†

We could not be more proud of Sue – it is so well deserved ๐Ÿ’™

Sue embodies the CrossFit mentality, whatever is thrown her way she takes it in her stride, no complaints ๐Ÿ™Œ

She works hard and is proof that approaching mid-70s isnโ€™t a good reason to stop hitting PBโ€™s, regularly ringing the Unity bell at the end of our progressive cycles ๐Ÿ””

Sheโ€™s also proof that itโ€™s never too late to learn new skills ๐Ÿ’ฅ

In a recent quarterfinal workout which started with double unders (a skill she hadnโ€™t mastered yet) rather than be defeated from the outset she adopted a โ€œcan doโ€ attitude and was willing to set aside the duration of the workout to try to get a single rep (and she did, twice in fact ๐Ÿ‘).

If youโ€™ve ever thought CrossFit was only for elite athletes, people who want to compete and youngsters in their 20s then hopefully Sue helps to dispel that myth!

CrossFit is for anyone who is serious about prioritising their health and fitness across the lifetime ๐ŸŒฑ
